Ordinary pillows do not regulate temperature at all. Tempsense™ actively regulates temperature using Outlast® technology. The wax capsules in the fabric on the pillow's surface absorb excess heat when you get too warm and release it back when you feel cold. This keeps the temperature steady automatically.

Outlast® technology was originally developed for NASA to solve how to protect astronauts from the extreme temperature swings of space. In space the temperature can vary by more than 200 degrees, and traditional insulation was not enough.
NASA needed a material that actively manages heat. The result was a technology in which microencapsulated wax capsules absorb and release heat as needed. The technology was used in space gloves.

Orders ship from our warehouse in Finland. Orders placed before 12:00 on a business day are dispatched the same day, otherwise the next business day.

We are a Finnish-owned company, and we design our products with sleep and light professionals here in the Nordics, where winters are long and dark enough to take artificial light seriously.

Depending on the product, our items are made in Europe or in Asia (Hong Kong and China).
The Tempsense™ range is made in Poland and Germany.
