Ordinary duvets only insulate, meaning they either trap heat inside or let it out. Tempsense™ actively regulates temperature using Outlast® technology. The wax capsules in the duvet absorb excess heat when you get too warm and release it back when you feel cold. This keeps the temperature steady automatically.

NASA needed a material that actively manages heat. The result was a technology in which microencapsulated wax capsules absorb and release heat as needed. The technology was used in space gloves.

Always the right temperature
The filling of the Tempsense™ duvet contains millions of microscopic wax capsules made from a natural rapeseed-oil-based wax. These capsules act as intelligent heat stores that respond automatically to your body temperature.
When your body gets too warm, the wax capsules begin to melt, drawing the excess heat into themselves. This melting process consumes heat energy, which stops your body from overheating. You stay cool and dry without even noticing it happen. When your body cools down, the wax capsules solidify again and release the stored heat back to you.
Ordinary "breathable" duvets are reactive, meaning they only respond once you have already started sweating. Outlast® is proactive: it prevents the problem by acting before sweating or shivering has a chance to happen.

Orders ship from our warehouse in Finland. Orders placed before 12:00 on a business day are dispatched the same day, otherwise the next business day.

Everything ships from our own warehouse in Finland.
We are a Finnish-owned company, and we design our products with sleep and light professionals here in the Nordics, where winters are long and dark enough to take artificial light seriously.

Depending on the product, our items are made in Europe or in Asia (Hong Kong and China).
The Tempsense™ range is made in Poland and Germany.
